Dear All ,

Ihave a question regadring offence , my friend claim asylum in airport in 2005but he failed to prove his ID then they got him to pirson for 3 months now after he granted ILR he want to apply to citizenship he called the Home Office and the they told hm he need to wait untill 7 years from the date he been conivted so this matter is related to immigration issue MY QUESTION is is he really need to wait 7 years until rehabilitation ? please advice .

I think, and I might be wrong, Under current immigration rules, your friend has to wait for 5 years after his is released from prison.
