Got a call from HO - does it mean anything??

Applied for naturalisation through NCS back in May, receipt of acknowledgement on the 26 May 2011, with payment taken off credit card on the 23rd of May.

Its almost 10 weeks now; however, every time I've called the info line, I've been given the standard line, "Still awaiting Case Worker Allocation", as late as last Friday (4 days ago), but yesterday, my wife received a call from the HO asking for a clarification on her maiden/married name.

Does this mean a case worker HAS been allocated?... anyone have any experience on how long things take from this point onwards?.

Regards.

Could be doing some checks on your application with their records. Is that for a joint application for naturalisation.

By the sounds of it - looks like your case has been allocated to a cW.
Hopefully you hear from them soon.
For the others looks like HO is processing applications. Hang in there and those waiting should hear soon too!
