Hi everyone,

i am a British citizen with two children under 18 years. They both have ILR. I've divorced with their mother who is subject to immigration control. I have the sole responsibility of my children. I am now planning to apply for British citizenship for my children.Do i qualify to apply for them? What documents do i need to attach with the application? Is there any document that their mother will have to sign? Under what Article can i base their application....3(1)?

I wll appreciate it very much if you could advise me in details.

Counting on your usual co-operation.

From your other posts, I understand that the children were born abroad, are 13 & 16 years old and have been residing in the UK for over 4 years.

As advised before. This is subject to discretion under section 3(1).

Although you might have been granted a residence order, the HO will require consent from the other parent on applying for registration. She will need to sign the appropriate section in the form. You will also need to provide your divorce documents.
