What number do i contact HO for my AN application status , i tried calling them but they said they don't give any status update on application.

There is no special number to call, just their standard contact centre. It seems that recently they are more strict in not providing updates over the phone for applications less than 6 months.

Until they approve you or refuse you the status of you application will always be "under consideration", simple.

But they don't give any information about applications submitted less than 6 months ago, do they? I tried it is only answer machine

No, there are real people/advisors that will answer ur questions, u choose 2 when asked, thats for naturalisation.
