I can't remember the details of my ex-marriage.

Hi everyone.
I will apply for BC in a week, but I have a BIG problem. I can't remember the required details of my ex-marriage.

Her name and place of birth are the only things that I can recall as it was a bad marriage which took place 16 years ago when I was very young and lasted short of one year.

I tried finding her, but she has moved out of her last residence. None of our mutual friends have any info regarding her whereabouts.

I'm a non-EU national and the police back at my native country refuse to give me any info, saying that it is private.

Can anyone advise what I can do? Should I omit the marriage in my application or state the facts?

is that the only thing they ask for anyways? they are not asking for a phone number or address, just full name and dob and reason why the marriage ended

Jambo - Thanks a lot. I agree not to withhold any info. I guess they are trying to see if I have gone into the path of a fixed marriage. I have been happily married for seven years now, but still wonder if this can affect my BC.

vegeta - They ask more than that. Even then, I don't remember her date or place of birth. I know it sounds silly, but I guess I pushed my memory too hard to forget.
