Guys I need you advise on my son status.

My son is 14yrs who born outside the UK. He got his ILR on February 2012 along with my application.
If I want to apply for his BC, should I wait 12 months then apply through naturalization like an adult or I can get it earlier as a child through MN1?

Thanks Jambo.

If I understand correctly, I have to apply for my naturalization and get the BC firs then my son can apply under MN1 section 3(1) if he is still a child (less than 16).
Otherwise he has to apply as an adult though naturalization. Is it correct?

You can apply together at the same time. You don't need to wait for a decision to be made before applying for your son.

However, his application will likely be dependant on your application. if your application is refused, his application is likely to get refused also.

Please note that it is expected that the other parent also holds ILR (or close to holding it).
