14 years long residence

Post by guestname40 » Thu Jul 12, 2012 8:42 am

I applied for ILR based on 14 years stay on the 6th of july and documents were sent by my solicitor same day. I also in a long term relationship with a man born in the U.K. My solicitor knew how urgent and desperate i am to get the docs before the deadline. I attended the meeting with my fiance and he included his passport copy too. Now, i received a letter from more or less sounding like a disclaimer that she has warned me the application might be rejected/refused as her others cases were sent on the 5th of july. She charged me 2k for couple of hours of seeing me and her letter points out the progress reports and any work required extra will be charged around £300 p.h. i had no choice but go with her fearing deadline. Can anyone please shed any lights on solicitors pratices and what can I do now. Wait it up and see whether my application is successful or change to another solicitor? Please help
