Hi,
I applied for ILR this morning. Thought I'd share my experience here as I benefited immensely out of this forum.
Appointment: 8:30 AM
Reached: 7:50 AM
Security Check and Ticket Issuance: 8:00 AM
Initial Check and Input into System: 8:30 AM
BRP & Document Submission: 8:45 AM
Approval Letter and Documents Hand over: 9:25 AM
I'd heard that staff at Croydon were not as nice as those in Solihull and was a bit apprehensive. The apprehension was proven totally out of place. I think all of the staff from the person in the registration section to the Biometrics section to the the person returning the documents were super nice. I did not get to meet the case worker to comment on how they were.
Docs Submitted
1. Passports & BRP
2.Life in the UK & TOEFL results for me and spouse
3. Letter from employer with salary SOC code Etc
4. Letter from employer with absences & business trips
5. 13 Salary Slips for myself+2 salary slips for spouse
6. 6 Bank Statements(I had changed the salary account last minute to ICICI Bank as First Direct refused to issue statements on time and would not stamp an electronic statement). So I provided 5 statements from First Direct and 1 from ICICI Bank.
7. For Evidence of Cohabitation I provided 3 Joint Bank Statements, 2 Council tax Bills and 2 Tenancy Agreements. Also provided 2 letters from HO addressed to each one seperately
8. Evidence of Economic Activity: P60 for 5 years and 1 old Work permit
