First Entry Date Set(O) Question 6.1

Hi

I first came to UK in 2005 as student and then got Tier 2 (G) in March 2009. Looking forward to apply for ILR in March 2014. My Question is that what should I put in Question 6.1 Answer. First date of entry will it be the date I entered in 2005 OR when I entered in UK after getting Tier 2(G) which was in June 2009 (after getting Tier 2 G visa I went out and came back in June 2009). I got Tier 2 G from inside UK by the way.

Normally , it is the date on which application is based.
You can mention first date of entry as 2005 and mention continuous period calculation in an extra sheet.
e.g
Continuous period Absences
March 2009 - March 2010
March 2010- March 2011

-----------------------------
March 2013 -March 2014

I am only not sure because it says at 6.1 when did you FIRST enter at the beginning of the period at which YOUR ILR application based?

Any on else please shed some light over it.

date in 6.1 will be the start of your 5 year term for ILR SET(O)
7.11 will be the total time spent in UK
