Please help English lang requirement missed by me

Post by foolishman » Tue Jan 21, 2014 11:19 pm

Hello,

I need some urgent help.

My wife is applying for ILR, her visa runs out in 4 weeks time. She went to an accredited college back in Sept 2013 to take her English test. The English she took and passed was at Entry Level 3 i.e B1.

As we are submitting her application I looked on the UKBA website to double check the English exam is on there and to my utter shock it wasn't link is below - however I think this list is for people applying to enter or remain and not for ILR

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... /appendixo

I did some digging and on the UKBA website for ILR it states
English language qualifications used to demonstrate knowledge of language must be at Entry level 3 or above. The qualification must include speaking and listening and either:
be listed as an ESOL qualification on the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications and have been taken in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.
the qualification my wife did is on the OFQUAL register but i am concerned that as it is not listed in appendix O her application might be rejected. If it is, could we submit another application to extend her visa. Our baby is due so she doesn't have time to go and redo her exam if she needs to.

Please help
