ILR being in the UK for first 6 years and the rest on EEA RC

Post by glowtee » Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:27 pm

Hello all,

I am hoping i get some good and constructive advice from the members on this forum.
I arrived in the UK in 2004 on a working holiday visa for 2 years. I met my German boyfriend in 2006 but i left the UK in 2006 September and came back to do my masters in September 2007. After my masters, i worked for a year and enrolled on a PhD which i completed in 2012. I got married the same year and i have had an eea family member resident card since then. I want to know if i can apply for ILR in my current status.

Thanks
Gloria

You broke the continuous residence for SET(LR) when you left for more than 180 days. Unless there are exceptional/compelling reasons why you did so? Has your spouse been exercising treaty rights since 2007?
