Undergraduate English Language requirements

Post by murtazaamin » Wed Nov 30, 2016 10:32 am

I've been in the UK for the last 4 and a bit years on a Tier-2 (General) visa with my wife and 2 children. I'm now coming up to my 5 years early in 2017 and will be applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

My daughter is 19 years old and has completed here GCSE and A levels in the UK. She is now studying Biomedical at Queen Mary's. My question is would she still be required to pass an English language test in order to apply for ILR given the fact that she has done her GCSE and A levels here in the UK?

Yes, daughter will have to furnish proof of English in approved manner.
GCSEs/A levels are not adequate for this purpose.

She's presumably fluent so SELT should be a walk in the park.
