Permanent Residency Application - with Expired Passport

Post by sathmaha » Wed Feb 13, 2019 6:19 pm

Dear All,

Please kindly advice me on this.

My daughter's dependent visa ending on March 09th and she is completing her 10 years stay and eligible to apply for Indefinite leave to remain. Recently I found out her Srilankan passport was expired one year back. My fault where I didn't really check it beforehand :(

I applied for a new passport in Srilankan High Commission last week and I got a receipt. Is it possible to apply ILR for my daughter with an old expired passport and show the receipt to HOme offie stating we already applied for a new passport? I heard now all ILR applications are online based and are there any questions relevant to passport information (expiry date )?

Please kindly let me know. Thank you in advance.
