Minimum income requirement post arrival in UK

Post by taffy415 » Fri Feb 22, 2019 8:50 pm

Hi guys,

Sorry I'm not familiar with the immigration system so apologies if this is the wrong section. My wife was granted permission to enter UK in December 2018. Obviously I want her to settle and live with me therefore I assume I apply for ILR at end of 5 years (before which there is another English test after 2.5 years)

My question is, do I need to still meet the minimum income requirement (£18600+) for the next 5 years too and will they ask for wage slips again twice, both after 2.5 years and then after 5 years again?

Just planning ahead so as I have all wage slips ready because last time I had to chase up 1 from payroll as it was a copy therefore requiring a letter from them to support it causing unnecessary worry as to whether it would be accepted as per rules and also was a bit of a nuisance to chase up as had to ask payroll a few times.

Many thanks

Taffy

For extension and ILR, you have to prove the financial requirement again. Joint or either individual income can be used.

For extension she needs A2 English and ILR B1.
