I’ve recently changed jobs on a tier 2 visa and recently requested a confirmation of my absences from the UK from my previous employer. My previous employer refused to give me such letter due to their policies, saying that they would only be able to provide a letter stating the dates when I took my annual leave.
Would that letter together with a separate letter prepared by me and providing a breakdown of my absences from the UK be enough for HO to grant an ILR in the future when I submit my application? Or should I persist more with my current employer? How do potential ILR applicants usually act in these situations?
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
