Financial support for dependent ILR

Post by ILRILRILR » Mon Dec 30, 2019 10:06 am

Hi,

I'm currently in the process of applying for ILR for my wife who came as a tier2 dependent back in Dec 2014. She does not work and is completely relient on my financial support.

In the application, we got confused by the consent form, specifically part 3 which seems to indicate that we should provide supporting documents for financial support, but I kept seeing answers on this forum that indicate otherwise. Could someone please clear thia confusion up?

Note I received my ILR back in Feb 2018 and citizenship in Aug 2019.

There is no need to provide financial support for SET(O) under PBS dependant

Hi Zimba,

I really appreciate your response at this time of year.

Let me confirm a couple of things then. Part 3 of the consent form is for me since I'm a "3rd party" providing financial support for the applicant (my wife). Is that correct?

The following excerpt of Part 3 of the consent form does not mean I will provide documents to show financial support?
"I have agreed to provide financial support to the applicant as set out in the application form. I have provided information or documentation to support the application. I understand the Home Office may verify the information or documentation which has been provided."

These are my confusion points.

Cheers
