Tier 1 general dependent qualified for ilr 5 yr route questions clarification

Post by Satwick » Sat Feb 27, 2021 6:28 pm

Hi,

I am currently applying for ILR for my wife on 5 years route, I am using SET o form as I was on tier 1 general few years back and settled on British passport.

Q1) is the right form to use?
Q2) in the form it’s only asking 3years in and out of country as it used to check 5 years absences earlier
Q3) my wife had US masters degree from university does she still need to submit NARIAc certificate?

Also do she needs to show any funds?
Any advise really appreciated?

Thank you in advance

1) SET(o) is correct
2) There is no absence requirement for old PBS dependants unless for a visa period issued after 11 Jan 2018. Then only absences from the issue date of such visa must be declared
3) Yes. I suggest her to sit a SELT test instead, as it is easier and faster

If your degree is not from a UK university you’ll need:

• a copy of your degree certificate
• an Academic Qualification Level Statement (AQUALS) from UK NARIC confirming the degree is equivalent to a UK qualification.

Thank you for the response I think rather sit another exam would prefer to take a naric certificate.
