ILR application for my wife

Dear all,

I have got my ILR through GTV route a few days ago (12.10.2022), but I have not included my wife in my application. so she is still on dependent visa. she has been in the UK with me over the past 9 years in below visa categories:

Sep 2013-Jan 2019 Tier 4 dependent visa
Jan 2019-Mar 2021 Tier 2 dependent visa
Mar 2021-June 2021 exceptional assurance
Jun 2021-Jun 2024 global talent dependent visa.

Can anyone please let me know that I can apply for her ILR?

Dear friends.

My wife is separately applying for ilr, but has not submitted the application yet. I have some questions.

below is her visa history.

Sep 2013-Jan 2019 Tier 4 dependent visa
Jan 2019-Mar 2021 Tier 2 dependent visa
Mar 2021-June 2021 exceptional assurance
Jun 2021-Jun 2024 global talent dependent visa


1. She was not asked to provide any evidence (e.g. marriage certificate) to show that she is my wife and in relationship with me. Why?

2. She was not asked to provide any documents showing that I (her sponser) have enough income to support her financially. Why?

I would really appreciate if anyone can help me.

In case of financial requirements see below please from government website:

Financial requirements
You must both:

have enough income to support yourselves and your dependants
not be using public funds


How they want to check that whether I have enough income to support myself and my dependents?

For ILR, there is no financial requirement to satisfy under GTV rules. Please note that your application is strictly subject to the requirements under the immigration rules. The advice given on the government website often lacks a proper context and it is mostly generic. The only reference that must be relied on is the immigration rules and the official guides
