Which ILR route should I apply for my wife?

Post by aullah360 » Fri Sep 29, 2023 11:00 am

Hi everyone,
And thank you all for all the good thinks you are doing to keep this World a better place together.

I came to this country in February 2008 with a student Visa. Finished my study and joined in a Job with Tire 2 Visa in September 2014. I have got my ILR at March 2018 in 10 Years Route and become British citizen at November 2019. Now Work full time with NHS.

My wife Came to this country in May 2016 as my dependent Spouse visa. I was in Tire 2 Visa on that time. As soon as I have got ILR in 2018. Her Visa was reapplied and approved under my new status (ILR) dependent spouse visa at 04/09/2018. My wife also works full time.

We can meet the minimum financial requirement. We are married in 2016 and living together since.
We have not stayed out of the country not more than 45 days in last 5 years.

My Question is, Witch ILR Rute is right for my Wife which date?
2 years?
5 Years or 10 Years?

Thank you all again in advance.

Right now the fastest path is 5 years (don't think 2 years exists anymore in family route) minus 28 days from first spouse visa date; she should be able to apply now?

The path to ILR depends on the visa route she was granted visa. If she has been under the 5-year route, then she can qualify now.
