Need help with ILR SET(M) form

Post by Undertaker » Fri Feb 16, 2024 4:37 pm

Hi everyone ,

just want to say thank you for doing such a fantastic job in guiding ppl like me through this nervous time .

This is first time i am posting on this forum so please bear with me and guide me to get it right .

I have been reading through all the answers but couldn't find my answers hence posting it here as i would like to get an application done this weekend .

I am applying for ILR SET(M) ON spouse (British citizen ) dependent 5 yr route and need help with following question from the FORM

1) Could you and your partner live together outside UK if necessary ?? i presume its no as partner is British citizen and have lived here for over 19 years but questions says together so not too sure what should i answer ??

2)Do you have other reasons wanting to stay in the UK ?? have no idea what to say

3) I have changed job in last 6 months but in both the job my salary is over 20k .. I have already got a letter from previous employer to confirm that plus have asked current employer to write a letter confirming job and salary .My husband has recently changed job in Jan 24 but hasn't got a first payslip so ..will it be enough if i put down my last 6 months payslip and my husbands new job contract letter ??

please advice on above .

Thanking you in advance .

1. Just answer No

2. If you answer yes to 'Do you have any other reasons to stay in the UK', the system will ask you to provide evidence for this and you will get confused. Ignore this as you do not need to have 'other' reasons

3. Nothing is needed from previous employers apart from payslips. You also do not need your husband's income at all if you can use your own income to qualify. You need to apply under category B and satisfy the requirements in two parts:

1) Your annualised income from your most recent job should be above the threshold (£18,600+)
So all salary earned in your most recent job divided by the period in which it was earned, then multiplied by 12 must be above (£18,600+)
AND
2) In the last 12 months, you have earned in total, at least the minimum salary needed (£18,600+), so all income earned in the least 12 months from any job held

Checkout category B in the guide and see the evidence required: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... rement.pdf
