ILR application - Delay 2024

Hi

My wife applied for ILR - date of submission if 15th Feb 2024. Date of biometrics is 6th MArch 2024.
I got an email from HO saying 'Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application may not be processed within the above mentioned 6-month target.
We expect a decision to be made on your application soon, but we will write to you again if we require any further information.

Please note we are unable to respond to specific enquiries regarding timescales.'

Has anyone else received similar email? and how long should i wait for now?

We cannot tell you what to expect as each application is unique and decided in its own timeframe. The standard timeframe for ILR application is up to 6 months. In some cases, an application can take more than that. You can only wait to hear back

Is it worth sending a complain to the HO complaints email address - i just dont want to further delay the process if the open an investigation. Does anyone have any experience of how long the complaints process is and if worth trying?

The 6 month period is not even finished, that would be in September (6 months after your biometrics) Also they already told you that your application cannot be decided in the 6 month timeframe.
