Applying ILR and realized company License expired

Post by priyankaycbo » Wed Sep 11, 2024 2:15 pm

Hello Sir/Madam,
I'm resident of UK since 2018.I'm on Tier 2 skilled worker visa expires on March 2025.
I'm about to apply for ILR now.

My Company has realized Sponsorship license has expired as they don't have HR team to maintain/follow up all these.
They contacted Home office and they said you can get new license and can move my current COS to new license.

My company has applied and got a new license.
They've applied for COS allocation now.

1. Is this possible to move my current COS to new license?
2. Or If they get a new COS do i have to apply for new Visa? Same employer , Same SOC code, Same job but promoted ,Do i need to apply for new Visa?
3. If i have to apply for new Visa for 6 months - Do i need to pay IHS again? I already paid for current visa still valid till March. Can i use the same IHS reference?

Please help me

Thanks,
Priyanka

Sponsor licensing issues are not really relevant to this forum. Your sponsor must comply with their duties and ensure that their licence is renewed on time. You should ask these questions from your sponsor and get them to identify any potential issues along the way with UKVI.

As far as I know, their licences will have to be renewed and nothing else will change. For ILR, you do not need a new certificate of sponsorship to be allocated or issued. They just need to renew their license and you should be able to apply once that is done, as you are still under the same role

UKVI provides offcial guides for sponsors: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... compliance
