ILR Application - Which income threshold applies?

Hello,

I am seeking guidance for my wife's upcoming Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) application under the 5-year partner route (Appendix FM). I am a British citizen.

Key Dates:

· She first arrived in the UK on a spouse/family visa: 21st July 2021.
· Her current (second) spouse visa expires: 30th September 2026.

We are preparing for the Set(M) application and are confused about the financial requirement.

Financial Requirement: I have heard the income threshold for ILR is rising. For her application submitted before September 2026, does the minimum income requirement for my wife remain at £18,600 (the old rules), or does she now need to meet the new £29,000 threshold?

Documentation Checklist: Given her timeline and our goal to apply before her visa expiry, could anyone share a detailed list of documents we should be preparing? We want to ensure we have everything ready for a smooth application.

The new rules only affect the people who entered the route on or after 11 April 2024.
