ILR Eligibility? Visa gap but with UK payroll & NI contr

Post by jughead » Sun Jan 10, 2010 1:35 pm

HI, I would be really greatful if somebody can help out in clearing my confusion. :(

I have been in UK since Mar 2005 on work permit and with the same employer. In between I had to go on my paid leave from 26th dec 2006 - 15th Jan 2007 to my home country where my visa expired on 5th Jan 2007. So, I continued to work at the home country branch office while my fresh work permit was issued and finally came back to UK to continue working after my new visa started from 7th Feb 2007. Although during the period of my paid leave and work in my home country branch, I continued to be paid in UK payroll and had paid NI as well for that period. I have got all my payslips for the continous 5 year period to support this as well.

I want to know if this could be a problem of me being eligible for ILR in mar 2010?

My WP visa stampings in my passport are as below.
1st - 5th Jan 2005 - 5th Jan 2007
2nd - 7th Feb 2007 - 7th Feb 2009
3rd - 7th Feb 2009 - 7th Feb 2011

Would really appreciate a quick response on this.
