Does ILR ever expire?

Post by andeew » Wed Jan 13, 2010 3:21 am

I married a UK citizen in 2002 & we lived there until 2005. We've been in the US ever since. I was granted ILR in 2003. If we were ever to return to the UK, would I need to reapply or is it really indefinite? My understanding was that as long as I was not out of the country for more than 2 years then I could return.

Thanks

An ILR holder would be subject to the returning residents provisions.
