Long processing time Indefinite leave to remain

Post by nevzzn » Tue May 11, 2010 8:26 pm

Hi, I posted my application for indefinite leave to remain on 18.01.10 and received the confirmation from h/office on 19.01.10.

I have completed my 5yrs on 26.12.09 on a workpermit.
All the relevant documents were sent like p60's, h/office documents (workpermits etc), letter from employer, salary slips, bank statements etc.

I have to travel urgently as my house in home country is likely to be repossessed due to some unforseen circumstances. I told the home office on 08.04.2010 and again 14.04.2010 that I wanted to withdraw the application. They said that they would mark the application as withdrawn but I still have not received my documents or any correspondance from them. Whenever I call them they say that I just have to wait for a phone call to collect documents. They can never tell where the passports are or at what stage the application is. I cehck every week and different people tell me different things.

My questions:
The application fee has not been debited form my bank account
Is there anything I can do to get my documents back.
Why wont they tell me where my documents are and if I will get them back as I need to travel so desperately
