Urgent help needed

I have finished my MBA and waiting for results which will be out in July 2010 but unfortunately my visa expires end of June 2010 which means I can't apply for PSW. I am planning to go back home and apply for PSW in August. Now the question is will my long residence in this country break because I have entered the country on a new visa. I have been in this country for 6 yrs.

If you leave the country before your current visa expires and come back on a new visa within 6 months you shouldn't have a break in residency.
