help needed on ILR- date I first entered the country

Post by pantope » Wed May 19, 2010 4:42 pm

Hello,

It would be great if somebody can help me on this-
I was in the country when I was granted my first work permit-currently I am on TIER1.What should I put as the date when I first entered the country? ( the question just before the one where they ask for all the dates that need to be listed)Should it be the actual date when I first entered the country on my first FLR or the date when my first FLR was granted, since I was already in UK?
Many thanks

Thanks for your reply

question:

When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the
date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay
on which this application is based.

My worry is-if they count from the day I entered I dont have 5 years
if they count from the date it was granted - i should be ok hopefully

The thing is I exited the country on FLR a month after it was granted and then came back 2 weeks after.I was on student visa before

Many thanks

Date of issue of WP leave to remain (as on the vignette in your passport).

If it doesn't, then you don't qualify for ILR (yet)!
