necessity of letters from previous employers for tier2+1

I entered UK on 2006 on WP, later converted into tier2 for another employer, now I am on tier 1 and working for another employer and will be eligible for ILR next February. My question is, do I need letters from all previous employers ? I have P45s and P60s all in order. I can get letters from HMRC as well. Will they suffice?

Getting letters from all previous employers may not be easy. Is it necessary?
