Post by rithika » Wed Jan 19, 2011 7:02 am

Hi,

I need a small advice regarding my situation.

My husband hold ILR last march 2009, we both reachd uk on 2005.Initiall i had dependent wp visa then I switched to WP.Me and my son holding Workpermitvisa, whereas ny husband is having ILR.Shall I include my and my son application along with my husband naturalisation as we both completed 5 years lawful stay in uk .

Or should I convert my visa status to Ilr dependent. Please advice me.

I myself will get eligible on 2012 for ILR based on my worpermit.and my son too..
What is the shortcut to get Naturalisation for me and my son...

See your other post ... you must hold ILR before you can apply for naturalisation.

Get ILR ... get husband to get citizenship and then you can immediately apply for naturalisation providing you meet the requirements of being a spouse of a british citizen.

Your son I'm less certain about and others may be able to help here. He may be entitled to registration - but I think that depends on where/when he was born (I'm not very clued up on those rules).

was your son born after your husband got ILR?

as previously advised you cant apply directly for naturalisation. get ILR and then you can apply.
