ILR-Dependant

Post by PKILR » Wed Feb 23, 2011 1:48 pm

Hi

I'm currently on Tier2 General visa and qualified for ILR. I'm scheduled for an appointment on Friday 25.02.11 with PO in Glasgow.

My wife is currently on Tier 2 dependant visa since Sept 2010 and Valid until Dec 2011. Upon receiving my ILR status (hopefully).... would my wife require to apply a fresh ILR dependant visa(if exists) ?? or she can continue on her exisitng Tier 2 Dependant visa until her visa expires in December 2011. Then apply for a new dependant visa.

Can some one point me what type of dependant visa will it be- Tier2 dependant or ILR dependant visa( if exisits)) (say I'm on ILR at this period of time. i.e Dec 2011)

Thanks in advance.

Praveen

See also Switch wife's dependent visa to spouse ?

Also, if your wife intends to travel outside UK after you are granted settlement, she should either apply for leave to remain as spouse of settled person before travelling or apply for entry clearance before re-entering UK (change of circumstances, e.g. - 321A(1)).
