If you and your husband are not living together in the UK then your application will be refused. If you attempt to lie about this in your application by submitting evidence of bills to demonstate that you are living together when you are not than this will cause you no end of problems. Why have you not accompanied your husband to the country where he is working?
The fact that you are studying a PhD is of no relevence. You were issued a visa to live with your husband in the UK. If he is no longer living here then you no longer qualify for the visa you have, and the UKBA could potentially curtail it.
I think you should seek advice from a competent immigration solicitor.
