ILR Counting 180days

Dear Friends

Can anyone advice about how many days out off UK is valid.
I think that is total of 180 days in 5years.
But see my case and advice before I apply my(me + 3 dependents, total fee £3375) application.

My details:-

Entry to UK:- 08-sept-2003(as a student)

Student visa+SEGS visa:- 08-sept-2003 to 26-Oct-2006

Work Permit:- 27-oct-2006 to 09-july-2007
(WP until 08-apr-2008 but applied HSMP)

HSMP:- 10-july-2007 to 10-july-2009

Tier-1:- 11-july2009 to 11-july-2012

So my qualifying period will be 27-oct-2006 to 26-oct-2011.
In this period I have taken holidays (all are authorized and paid leaves) which are total of 195days(when including travel dates).

I don’t have any breaks in employment, NO single 90days trips.

Counting Travel dates:-
For example if I travelled between 01-01-2011 to 15-01-2011
That means

I left UK on 01-01-2011 afternoon and arrived in India on 02-01-2011 so the stamp date will be 02-01-2011

If I left India on 15-01-2011 and arrived in UK on 15-01-2011 afternoon so the stamp date will be 15-01-2011

So total days out of UK including travel dates will be 15days (01-01-2011 to 15-01-2011).

1. Am I counting correctly, Please advice me if I am wrong? And please let me know how we count these days correctly.

2. Do we require any letters from employers which specifies dates and reasons for leave?

3. My wife had been to India for 6-10months twice during her 2 deliveries, will there be any problem with this?
