5 year qualifying period for ILR

Post by Tier1_ILR_Applicant » Sun May 15, 2011 1:12 pm

I received my initial HSMP approval letter on the 5th of January 2007 and I was already in UK studying on a student visa at that time. The actual HSMP visa was stamped/issued on my passport on the 24th of January 2007. My question is that because I was already in UK when I received the HSMP approval letter does that mean my 5 year indefinite leave to remain qualifying period starts from 5th of January 2007 or from 24th of January 2007? I would really appreciate your help.
