Also do submit your biometrics for your extension application to be valid. Submit your biometrics after 30th Oct and before deadline as quoted on your UKVI account. Soon after, vary to ILR.

Yes you are right the deadline to attend the BIOMETRIC is 4th Nov. So if i vary to ILR ON 30th October, as you have advised i can attend the appointment on 4 November. Still i need to upload all required documents by 4th Nov ? Just after vary to ILR, to make the appointment valid? OR do not upload documents all all?

Submit your biometrics and documents as normal between 30th Oct (so a decision can not be made before this) - 4th Nov (before deadline) for your extension application.

Get your ILR application ready by then and vary to ILR the next day. You qualify after 30th Oct.

Lets say you submit biometrics and documents for extension on 31st Oct. Your application will be considered valid.

Vary to ILR on 1st Nov.

You might get an option to choose between IDV app or UKVCAS centre. Whichever way you provide biometrics do it as stated above.

Read Pages 19-22 for clarity.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... .0-ext.pdf

As Vinny already pointed out in his previous post, I am reiterating:
Biometrics
You must not accept an application as valid if the applicant has not provided their biometric information and none of the exceptions apply.
You MUST enrol biometrics for your extension application to be valid. Only then vary to ILR as I stated in my previous post.

Also write a cover letter and mention clearly that you are varying to ILR providing the Case ID/UAN for your extension application and mentioning that you want HO to consider your ILR application instead.

Hi,
I have uploaded my extension docs for extension visa today.
Have also applied for ILR. In ILR form i was unable to find varying option. There was only option for home office reference, which i have given my extension ref.

When i uploaded documents for my extension visa on app, i have uploaded a cover letter as well. Is it enough
Or do i need something more to get refund my extension visa?

ILR application appointment option available now, no App option was given me this time.

Did you submit your extension application via IDV app? as you were eligible for IDV?

The form would have asked initially. “Do you have any pending applications with HO?”

IDV is the past now. You must book an appointment for ILR application.

I am assuming you mean you filled the application few weeks back but submitted today after completing your extension application via IDV first?

You do not have to do anything else. Just schedule your biometrics appointment for ILR. Your application will automatically be varied now and you should get refund for your extension application.

Also add a cover letter with your ILR application mentioning that you varied to ILR.

1) Upload all your documents as per ILR requirements.
2) You have an option to self-submit documents before biometrics also - recommended.
3) Book an appointment - usually appointments open up at 12AM midnight GMT. Just now.

Keep us posted with the result.

Good luck.

Official guidance for you:
An applicant submits application A in time. They then submit application B before application A has been decided, but after the applicant’s leave has expired when the applicant transitioned to 3C leave.

As the applicant transitioned to 3C leave and a decision has not yet been made on application A, application B is automatically considered as a variation of application A. The date of application is the date application A was submitted.
When the original and variation applications are made online, the applicant will have paid 2 fees. The higher fee will be retained and you must refund the lower fee.
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... .0-ext.pdf

Also, IHS should be refunded also.

The system shows 28 days slots. 28th day slot opens up at 12AM midnight. Most likely, if you see tonight you will see slots for Sunday 29th Nov. Note, weekends are always paid. So best to look again Monday/Tuesday 00:01 GMT so you will see slots for 30th Nov which is a week day. Also, in the meanwhile, keep looking regularly during the day, sometimes there are cancellations and you may end up getting an earlier slot. There is a possibility for free slots only on week days. Also look for different locations postcodes etc.

Keep us posted with the refund

PS: Once you book a slot, you can not view any more availability or cancellations etc.

Similar case where application fee and IHS both were refunded. Useful information in case you have to chase them (hope not and its automatic).

indefinite-leave-to-remain/varying-tier ... 01479.html

The mistake the OP in above thread did was to provide biometrics for extension after submitting ILR application which caused a mix up but eventually succeeded.

When is your ILR appointment? Make sure you benefit from the documents self-submission option even before appointment to save time.
