Re: Minimum One year on current visa before applying LR ILR?

It is fine as the applicant is below 18. You need to sign the consent form on the child's behalf.
You can also submit evidence that the child is living with the parents

Thanks. Is there any recommended format for consent or standard language would do?
Also if I submit the address proof for child (NHS/School) with same address as parent, that should be ok, right? Thanks

SET(LR) - Non Availability of Super Priority slot

Post by SeekingILRinUK » Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:05 pm

All,
Apologies for starting a new topic but I would like to hear from members of the forum and not only moderators. Hence this new topic.
I have read multiple comments from Zimba and others and know that super-priority is not a guarantee and slot availability is based on "expert" resource availability for that specific route.

But I have been trying to secure slots for myself and my family for almost a week now. We have been checking throughout the day, late evenings, late nights (1 am and all), and early mornings (6 am etc) without success. So I want to know from forum members whether anyone has succeeded in securing a high priority time slot in the recent past and what time did you try?

If slots are not available for anyone at any time, then I need to carefully evaluate my options of waiting for (don't know how many weeks :( ) for the slot or taking a risk of a normal slot. Looking for the feedback and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to post this again but I am at my wit's end with no solution in sight and desperately looking for some guidance.
What is the best way to figure out the situation on super priority slots? Has this been paused and for how long? Can I call / write to someone to find this out? Has this happened before - no slots for long duration like say 2 weeks or so?

Most importantly, can I apply through standard service now and cancel my application and re-apply through super priority? Is this even valid option when first application is in the process? What would be implication both financially as well as on the decision?

Thanks as always.

This is not something that anyone can help with, I am not sure what guidance you are looking for. Again, if there is no super priority slot then there is nothing you can do. We cannot tell you why and how to get one. The slots will not be offered unless there is capacity. Note that many workers often choose to go for summer holidays at this time of the year and UKVI human resources might be stretched. No one can offer any help beyond these speculations and what you have already seen. There is no magical advice or magic bullet out there !

If you apply and withdraw, then you have to pay the fees again for the new application and wait for the refund of the previous application fees later, so you better plan your finances. Also, this is only should be done if the current visa remains valid throughout

Hi SeekingILRinUK,

I am in similar situation and not seeing any option for "Priority" or "Super Priority" slots when making the payment. Did you manage to get this slot? Any recommendations?

Thanks.
