Hi Guys,
Just a quick question regarding age points. Details as under.
Currently my Visa status is Tier1 (General) and ILR is due in summer 2012.
My first successfull application was HSMP, applied in May 2007 got approval letter in same month then I sent my passport to HO for VISA stamp in June and got back in July 2007 with 2year Visa.

In July 2009 I got extension on Tier1 (General). Now it will expier this year July 2012.

Now as according to new rules in placed. I will have to score 75 points.
My earnings are ok.
Degree points are ok
I am just woundering what age point will be given to me,
will I claim age point according to initial grant (which was HSMP 2007) my age was under 28
or will I claim age point accoring to extension(Tier1 2009) My age was 30?

Looking forward to your expert opinion.
Best Regards.

you need to claim the age which was at the time of your initial grant (under 28 in your case)

Thanks Mate.

I am sure you are right. It seems that people who are answering calls at HO doesn't even have a clue about any law. I rang them around 5 times and each time I got different answer.

best regards,

muhammad.aftab: don’t worry as they have very little knowledge about the law.

I think this forum is a better place than anywhere else. Especially the Gurus and Moderators are very knowledge people and are always happy to help you.
