All

I applied for ILR - same day service at Croydon on 11th April 2012.

My case was HSMP (2 years) + Tier 1 (General) 3 years. Straight forward application. The only complication was that I conceded 3 points on my licence in March 2010 for using mobile phone whilst driving (CU80). I was given a fixed penaly notice by the police officer (£60). Court was not involved at all. I did disclose this offence on my application.

Anyway, during my appointment caseworker asked for following documents:
1. application form
2. photographs
3. passports
4. last 12 months bank statements
5. last 12 months payslips
6. LIUK test pass notification

Some caseworkers ask for other additional documents e.g last 4 year P60s etc. but my case worker only asked for the documents mentioned above.

After processing application I was kept waiting for decision for nearly 7 hours and after that I was informed that decision can not be made today due to IT problems and they will inform me later.

Today 19 April 2012 I received my ILR approval letter. BRP to follow in next 7 days.

Wish you all best of luck.

hi Bluebird,

to calculate the continuous 5 yrs period, which one did you use? the date of entry clearance or from the date of entry.

I switched my visa inside Uk from student to tier1. So it was simple for me i.e continuous residence started from date of tier 1 visa.

rneeta: you can use the date of entry clearance as long as you entered UK within 90 days of getting EC.
