2 Year Dependant requirement

My wife arrived on 2/10/10. From which date will she complete 2 years in uk. We travelled to Paris on 5/10/10 and return on 9/10/10.
Someon mentioned arrival date in the UK should not be included hence i want to find out whether she can apply on 2/10/12 or 3/10/12 or 4/10/12
Also, Is it 2 years + 1 day or 2 years precisely
