School changed into Academy - Tier2

I was due to apply for ILR in April 2012. However my school turned into an academy in February.

This meant that my old employers ( ( who sponsored my Tier2) were no longer responsible for my employment.
The Academy went on to apply ( within the 28 specified days) on their intention to take over my sponsorship( Tier 2).

We have not recieved any reply yet so far. Booked fo an appointment with premium service for mid June.

Can the school write me a letter to the Home office without having to wait for the reply.

If that is the case, what do they need to write in the letter.

Need advice urgently.

Apply for what - sponsorship license? increase in current allocation of CoS?

When is your current leave due to expire?

The Academy did not have a sponsorship lincence as it was controlled by the Council before February.
So they submitted an application to the UKBA. Waiting for the reply to come back so that they can write a letter for me to submit to UKBA for ILR.
My current leave to remain expires next year in January
