My nan passed away in India sadly today and my passport is home office due to my ILR Set M visa. I applied in PEO Croydon 3 months ago and on the day it was IT issue. But now i have been told my docs are in Liverpool Office stating further enquiries and the staff would not reveal further information.
I was given an option to withdraw my application but i do not want to as it will jeopardise my situation further i will have to leave country immediately. I cannot leave as my husband suffered subarachnoid haemorrhage(brain haemorrhage) on 3rd jan still recovering and under sick leave is under huge stress due to this situation and also leave my full time job.

Although my MP has written and UKBA is aware of nan's situation they did not expedite my application, Please advise if there is any law under which we can request asap decision?

There is no law that compels the UKBA to expedite a decision because an applicant's relative has died. However, if you want to withdraw the application and retrieve your travel document (in order to travel outside the UK) then you are free to do so.

If i withdraw application as my visa is expired am i right in thinking need to leave country immediately and then apply from home country?
Unfortunately this is not viable situation, would it help if solicitor takes case?

Solicitors are not able to blow pixie dust into the face of caseworkers and effect changes in policy.

unfortunately you , your MP or queen can't do any thing.
All you have to do is wait...
my friend waited for 1 year.... after that he widraw his application. ....

just wait and wait for your LUCK when your case is assesed...
