Hello everyone,

Please I need your advise urgently.

I am presently on FLR which is due to expire in October.

How early can I apply for the ILR?

Also my biometric card is in my maiden name although all my other documents are in my married name.however I have my marriage certificate.

Does it matter that the biometric card is in my maiden name.

Looking forward to your responses.

There are multiple types of FLR. Which one is yours?

Hi Sushdmehta,

Thanks for the prompt response.

I got the FLR(after getting married) after being on a fiancee visa for 6 months.

You may apply for settlement no earlier than 28 days before the 2nd anniversary of FLR(M) leave being granted.

BRP in maiden name shouldn't be an issue. Carry your marriage certificate along if applying at PEO or submit it with the application if applying by post.
