I wanted to clarify something from the experienced members on this forum.
Is BRP required for 10 years long residence application?
If yes then
Why does the current guidance say it is not required for applications made in UK?

Please Refer to page 4 of the guidance on the link below.

Many thanks

Are you asking if you need one to apply or if you get one if you are granted?

I have already got BRP as part of my tier 1 extension recently. I qualify under 10 years long residence in July end. I meant will I have to redo the biometrics for ilr application?

Thanks sushdmehta. I have read the topic and i understand that fresh biometrics are required with each application.
But I don't know whether I misunderstood the guidelines on page 4 of 10 year ilr guidance document. It just sounds a bit contradictory to me to be honest.
May be you can explain what it exactly means.

it's possible they haven't updated that part of the guidance. Rest assured you do need to give biometrics again, as the application form states and as it states elsewhere on the UKBA website.

One should have expected it to be upto date as it was only revised last month.
Anyway That's ukba for you!
Thanks for clarifying that Greenie.
