I would like to make an inquiry regarding (ILR). I came to the UK
in Jul 2002. i have studied in UK for nearly 10 years starting with
BETEC at college, my degree, MSc and currently am doing PhD.

when i first came to the UK i was dependent with my father. but in
2008 i had to change my category to independent.

Now i completed continuous 10 years of lawful stay in the UK. and i
want to apply for ILR.

my inquiry is am i eligible for ILR, currently am on PSW visa.

Time spent in UK "lawfully" under any immigration category may be included, so yes.

Not if the switch was approved on the basis of an in-time application or if the application to switch was out-of-time by less than 10 working days.
