Hi, My wife and i who is (chinese) have been married for 2 years, we were not foreseeing any problems for permanent residence until changes say that i have to make £18k+.

I work part time as a Student Social worker, but my wife works full time and makes over £19k a year. With money from her father we are even buying a house, so there will be no claims for benefits.

But unsure where i stand since i (the British spouse) don't make £18k+.

Any advice would be appreciated.

She is living with myself in the UK and has been working for 6 months, i think she is on a 2 year spouse visa which has not ended yet.

She definitely has a 2 year spouse visa that runs out in March 2013.
