ILR Short by 3 months 5 days can I extend visa for 2 months

Initial grant of visa: 1st Dec 2007
First landed in UK : 5th March 2008
Visa extension applied: 2 Nov 2009
Visa extended upto: 6th Jan 2013
I am short by 3 months and (4-5) days for first landing into UK.
Can I apply for ILR on say 4th Jan 2013?
Would I require to extend again?
Is there a way to extend my visa for 2 months?
I read somewhere in some post to apply for date change which will extend visa by 2 months, there was no detail. Is there a way to do that.
