Hi guys,
I am applying for ILR on 27/07/2012. I have already obtained the employment letter from my current employer on 05/07/2012. Do you reckon it will be ok with the 05/07, or do i have to get a new one with a a date closer to 27th.

Before posting a querry on the forum it would be rather help ful for the members to answer your querry if they know your exact visa status. So please kindly mention your visa status in your querry next time.

As long as your employer letter is not more than a month old from the date of your ILR application you should be fine.
