Hii,

In September, I will qualify to apply for the ILR in the following routes:

(a) 5 years work (2yrs work permit + 3 yrs Tier 1 general migrant)
(b) 10 years residence (5 yrs student + 2yrs work permit + 3 yrs Tier 1 general migrant)

Can you please advise me, which is the best route to apply? 5 yrs route or 10 yrs route?

Look forward to hear.

Kind regards,
Vasu

With the 5 years route you could use the premium service at a PEO and get your IRL on the same day where as with 10 years you must apply through the post. Waiting times for this route are currently scandalous to be honest.
At the end of the day, it depends on your paperwork and circumstances.

Also to consider is if any dependant will be applying with you.
