Hi all,

It's been a long time since I posted a question since my Wife got her 2 Year Settlement Visa, and now it's nearly time to apply for her ILR! I understand SHE need a BRP (Biometrics), however the guidelines seems to confuse me.

Question: When Do SHE need to apply/enrol for HER BRP? Before submitting the SET(M) application or is this organised after SHE submits HER SET(M) application?

Note: SHE is not extending HER stay in the UK, SHE is merely making arrangements to stay indefinitely *2nd Stage after 2 year settlement, and then eventually naturalisation.

Well firstly it is your wife and not you who applies for the BRP.

She applies for it as part of her application for ilr - the form she completes for her ilr application is a combined application for ilr and a biometric residence permit. If she applies by post she will be sent a letter asking her to enrol her biometrics. If she applies in person she enrols her biometrics on the day.

However that is good information, and since she is applying via Post for the reduced fee I shall await for notification from the Home Office to request to enrol her Biometrics.
