So it went like this

Appointment was booked at 11:10 am
10:40: Arrived
11:00: Basics checked at the counter and Payment made
11:30: Bio-Metrics Taken

12:30 Called by the case worker, he asked me for my documents, collected them, didn't look at them and told me to come back in two hours, no questions asked

2:00 Came back a bit early and went to the washroom and heard my number being called rushed to the counter. Case worker handed me the docs and said it was approved and told me that the card will be posted. Done!

I was quite suprised as absolutely no questions were asked from me even though I was over 180 days (work reasons, evidence given)

I also applied 28 days before the Visa approval date and not the stamp date (there is a 10 days difference)

All in all I was impressed by the efficency and lask of hassle. Just as an aside I had the maximum points possible on my score in education, salary etc so may have made it easier

I also saw a few people with Lawyers, there is no need for this unless there is some complication with your application, I used a lawyer for my Tier 1 and now I feel it was a waste of money. Anyway I am glad now!

Finally thanks to this Forum and members for answering my questions and making my experience easier!

Do you have any unpaid leaves?

No unpaid leaves - I was on gardening leave between jobs where I was paid and not required to come in to work, so I went on holiday, this took me over the 180 day threshold

Just took the usual docs and photocopies of the below
- Photocopy of main passport page and UK visas
- 12 month Bank Statement
- 12 month payslips and employer letter
- Absence Calculation + reason for going over with evidence
- Degree Certificates + Life in the UK result
- 5 year P60's
- Old Home office letter approving Tier 1/Work permit

here i was misguided from the forum. Every one was saying that CW dont like Lawyers, No need to bring lawyer, no use.

No need of solicitor IF your case is straight forward. IF your case is NOT straightforward/complicated you SHOULD arrange solicitor and its my advise to all applicants
